In a study from 1990, researchers surveyed 30 participants with COPD (Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease) and had them use oxygen therapy over several months. The majority of participants reported an improvement in well-being, alertness, and sleep patterns.
During this study the participants used oxygen therapy over an expanded period of time. This study suggests that consistent oxygen therapy provides better long-term effects. One treatment can have a great and immediate effect, but constantly receiving the pure oxygen will have more long-term effects.
In addition to relief from COPD or other respiratory ailments, regular use of purified oxygen can help:
- increase energy levels
- improve mood
- improve concentration
- improve sports performance
- reduce stress
- provide relief for headaches and migraine
- promote better sleep
